Resident Bridge in Central Ternate Sub-District, North Maluku Province
Gamalama Mountain and Tolire Lake are the examples of major tourist attractions located in Ternate Island. What about minor ones? Well, one of them is called the Resident Bridge and it is located in Central Ternate Sub-District, North Maluku. To be exact, it resides quite near to Falajawa Beach in Indonesia. Instead of being called a bridge, it is more suitable to call it a pier. It is a little bit disappointing, though. Not all people are allowed to explore the site freely. It even takes permission from the management first before spending a holiday on site.
The Nuance
In terms of nuance, the site is indeed clean and neat due to a nice management of the keeper. The pier even features beautiful outdoor lamps, so the atmosphere feels merrier and more stunning at night. The next noticeable feature is the presence of several speedboats parked by the pier. They look expensive and sophisticated as well. What is more? Tourists may see a view of grandiose Gamalama Mountain on the horizon! Some buildings are also seen from the bridge, which suits the need of photography.
Exploring Resident Bridge
The most important consideration is related to the permission. It is because tourists need to acquire the keeper’s consent if they want to enter and explore the Resident Bridge. Despite the hassle, the reward is indeed quite satisfying. So, what can tourists do after getting the consent? It can be either sightseeing or photography. Still, most Indonesian visitors are likely to enjoy the serene nuance of the site and take advantage of such serenity for relaxation. That means the pier is perfect for eradicating stresses and boredom as well.
What is more? Tourists may take advantage of the Resident Bridge in order to watch the boat’s activity. Somehow, only speedboats are allowed to park on that pier. No wonder, the site looks a little bit exclusive as compared to regular ones. As long as tourists have obtained the permission, they can even take pictures and get on the speedboat freely. Like other tourist sites, visitors are not allowed to litter or cause any disturbance on site. Even though carrying and eating snacks are allowed, they must take care of trash later.
Here is the tip. The best time to visit the Resident Bridge is either in the morning or afternoon when the nuance is the best. The view of Gamalama Mountain looks more stunning at those times as well. Also, make sure to come with either friends or families for a merrier atmosphere.
