Tabangan Beach in Ternate Island, North Maluku Province

North beaches of Ternate Island are indeed beautiful, especially the one called Sulamdaha. However, it is not the only option as tourists also have Tabangan Beach! The location is in Sulamadaha Village and it offers distinct beauty as compared to others. Plus, the location is not quite far from Ternate City so everyone can reach the location in minutes. The next allure of the beach is the underwater panorama, which makes it a nice destination for those who love snorkeling and diving when visiting Indonesia. Do not forget that the atmosphere is peaceful so the beach is suitable for relaxation as well.

The Nuance
Once arriving at Tabangan Beach, tourists may feel the warm and soothing breeze of the sea right away. The shore features white sand and many black stones that scatter on it. In terms of texture, the sand is considered soft so tourists can walk on it barefoot. In the back, lush bushes and coconut trees grow abundantly providing a comfy ambiance to the site. In the horizon, tourists may see stunning views of mountains as well! What about the sea? The waves are calm but the seawater looks darker than other North beaches of Ternate Island.

Exploring Tabangan Beach
The question is what tourists can do in Tabangan Beach. Here is the first option. They can simply remove their footwear and walk on the beautiful white sand of the shore. The surface of the sand is quite soft so it won’t hurt the feet. While beach walking, tourists can enjoy the breezy wind and warm air of the sea as well! This is definitely relaxing, so everyone is able to get rid of stresses by doing so. This should be done either in the morning or afternoon, though. It is because the heat of the sun would ruin the mood.

What is next? Aside from beach walking, visitors can enjoy photography. Thanks to the beautiful landscape and various stunning objects. It would be easy to collect stunning pictures including sea scenery, mountains, trees, waves, etc. As for the best spot to take pictures, tourists can stand on the scattered stones of the shore and conduct photography there. One thing, the wind is considered strong and the surface of those stones is indeed slippery.

Another recommended thing to do in Tabangan Beach is to witness underwater scenery by snorkeling. Beautiful fishes and corals look so stunning down there! Even though the visibility of sea water is not as good as other North beaches of Ternate Island, it is satisfying enough for tourists. One thing, everyone should have prepared snorkeling gear beforehand! It is because there is no available facility providing such item on site.
